Description

In 1925 Japan, school friends Koume and Akiko decide to form an all-girls baseball team after a young man dismisses their abilities. They have no coach, barely know the rules, and must persuade classmates and families that they deserve a chance to play. With help from their teacher, the girls learn to pitch, field and work together as they prepare for a challenge against the boys who inspired their unlikely team. Their quest for a place on the baseball diamond becomes a spirited story of friendship and determination during a changing era.
